
What is PlantSciLaw?


PlantSciLaw is a Jean Monnet Module aimed at professionals and/or graduates in Agro-sciences, which from 2023 the UPV/EHU offers as its own Degree (University Extension Course), of 6 ECTS credits (extendable to 8).
Second edition, February to April 2025. Registration is open
Languages of instruction 2025: Spanish, and in the case of foreign speakers, English.

Course objectives
Providing graduates or postgraduates in Agri-Sciences and Agrobiology related degrees with a solid background on those aspects of EU functioning and legislation that affect their professional field.
Special attention is given to the role of Agri-Sciences in the European Green Pact, the Farm to Fork Strategy and the Biodiversity Strategy, as well as Just Transition, the SDGs and the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework.
Own teaching staff and guest speakers
Taught by academics (STEM and SCSH), and professionals from business, public institutions and civil society from 6 EU countries and 2 non-EU countries.
Schedule and venue
Calendar: Weeks from 24 February to 8 April, every Monday and Tuesday. From 15:00 to 18:30.
Faculty of Science and Technology of the UPV/EHU (with the possibility of online connection in real time).

Without obtaining a degree from the UPV/EHU.
Entry is free of charge until all available places have been taken.
As a student
Obtaining 6 ECTS credits from the UPV/EHU after taking a final test or 8 ECTS credits, taking a test + a short research project as a Final Degree Project.
Price: 60€
Enrolment open until all available places are taken.
Places will not be reserved without formalised registration.

Formalisation of registration
The formalisation of registration requires the sending of:
- Proof of identity.
- Proof of university education in Agro-sciences (final year students are admitted).
- And, in the case of registration as a student, payment of the registration fee to the UPV/EHU. Guest registration is fee of charge.
